Farewell Picnic for Loren Gibson, L.S.
Letchworth State Park

When Loren Gibson announced that he would be leaving New York State
this summer to take a position with a firm in Florida, Bernie Schmieder
and Art McLaughlin organized a farewell picnic for him.
The picnic was held on a mild, sunny Saturday along the Genesee River in Letchworth State Park.
A number of people were in attendence at the picnic, representing
Loren's friends, past students and fellow Alfred Alumni - and their
families - from a number of NYSAPLS Regionals including APAPLS, GVLSA,
ENYSLS, CAALS (and Meg Shields from Vermont!).
Loren has been a practicing Land Surveyor, Consultant, Alfred State
Professor, NYSAPLS & ACSM member, and both a GVLSA member and
officer (amongst other things!).
"Loren has been an influential member of the Surveying Community
throughout his career. His wisdom and willingness to share it will be
greatly missed."
Good Luck Loren - We Wish You Well ! ! !
(And Keep in Touch !)
